Evaluation of Prior Learning

Students who have completed their college, university education, including Theological education, and have previous ministerial experience may receive advance credits for recognition of their work.

Ministerial experience is recognized up to a maximum award of 60 credits for full-time ordained ministers and licensed ministers and 30 credits for lay leaders. This requires the submission of transcripts, certificates, diplomas and/or a ministerial resume to the CLST Global Office for evaluation.

The advance credits awarded through this procedure are used to help the student in completing his or her program of study.

If the Program of Study’s degree point has been reached or passed, the student may apply for the award of the next appropriate degree.

 

 

There is a fee of $25 per credit awarded for ministerial experience and unaccredited theological education.
